The 2026 edition of the Global Sustainable Development Congress is set to take place at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition in Jakarta from 22-25 June 2026, welcoming more than 5,000 sustainability changemakers from around the world.
The annual event brings together delegates from research, business, government, and higher education to discuss topics related to cities, communities, education, inequality, environment, materials use, energy systems, supply chains, and resource management, as well as the need to accelerate sustainability action in the second half of the decade.
The event will feature more than 500 speakers, and over 200 exhibitors, will attendees expected from more than 100 countries. Organised by Times Higher Education, in conjunction with the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) and associated partners, this year’s congress will be larger in scale than previous events, with more stages and networking opportunities.
Among the high-profile speakers set to address the congress are Elena Kapreeva, Head of Sustainability, Global Bosch Power Tools; Lucia Karina, Vice President, Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners; Sunita Lukkhoo, Head of Regional Representation, Southeast Asia and the Pacific, European Investment Bank; Murali Ram, Regional Director for East, South East Asia and Oceania, C40 Cities; Assaad Razzouk, CEO, Gurīn Energy; and many more.
