The Business Post ESG & Sustainable Business Summit 2026 is set to take place on 15 April at Croke Park in Dublin, focusing on how businesses can future-proof their operations in the face of accelerating climate change and global instability.
The event is set to welcome high-profile speakers from the worlds of business, policy, academia and research, to discuss practical strategies that businesses can adopt to build more resilient and sustainable business models, and ensure that the choices they make today will enable them to flourish tomorrow.
On the agenda
The agenda for the day has been announced, with panel discussions covering topics such as Ireland’s emissions targets and the potential financial consequences of failing to meet them; how businesses are preparing for the effects of extreme weather; how to tackle the ‘sustainability elephant’ in the boardroom; the future skills needed to give businesses a sustainable edge; and how concerns about nature are affecting business decisions.
Elsewhere, a case study from Munster Rugby will explore how sustainability can be integrated into organisational culture; A&L Goodbody’s Jill Shaw will explore the latest legislative and policy developments around sustainability at a European level; and Anne Reaney, head of commercial strategy at Rebalance Earth, will offer her take on how firms can unlock business value through nature-based solutions.

Donnelly, chairperson of the Climate Change Advisory Council; Niall Conroy, chief economist at the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council; Eimear O’Sullivan, corporate affairs director at Lidl Ireland and Northern Ireland; Gordon Naughton, chief executive of Tactive and a member of the Sustainability Working Group at Chartered Accountants Ireland; Fabiola Schneider of University College Dublin and the ESMA Standing Sustainability Committee; Bob Hamilton, CEO, Irish Trees; Tom Cotter, founder and CEO, OceanR; and Caroline Cawley, business programme lead for the Nature Strategy Accelerator at Business for Biodiversity Ireland, among others.
