Carlow-based VisionGreen Consultancy has been named Green Business of the Year at Ireland’s annual National Enterprise Awards.
The awards, which recognise the accomplishments of small businesses across Ireland, took place at the Mansion House in Dublin last week, with VisionGreen building on its earlier recognition as Carlow’s Enterprise of the Year 2025.
Founded in 2018 by Ronan Murphy and John Pakenham, VisionGreen Consultancy offers sustainability services to businesses across various sectors, focusing on energy management, carbon and regulatory reporting, and the development and implementation of sustainability strategies that can drive profitability.
‘Absolutely delighted’
“We are absolutely delighted to receive the Green Business of the Year award,” commented Ronan Murphy, co-founder and director of VisionGreen Consultancy.
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our team, the trust of our clients, and the support of the local business community. I would particularly like to thank the Local Enterprise Office in Carlow for their unwavering support and belief in what we’re building. Their guidance has been invaluable in helping us grow our impact.”
‘Exemplary’ commitment
Carlow‘s Local Enterprise Office selected VisionGreen earlier this year, describing its commitment to driving meaningful sustainability initiatives as ‘exemplary’ among Ireland’s small enterprises.
Now in its 25th year, the National Enterprise Awards are organised annually by Ireland’s Local Enterprise Offices to highlight the work of small and medium-sized enterprises throughout the country, and feature categories such as Best Start-Up, Best Export Business, Innovation, One-to-Watch, Sustainability, and Outstanding Achievement.
The Green Business of the Year award was presented by Kieran Comerford, head of economic development and enterprise at Carlow County Council, alongside Alan Dillon TD, Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation (pictured). Read more here.
