The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) has announced the agenda for its 2025 Global Summit, taking place in Amsterdam in June and featuring the theme Accelerating Impact: The Business Case for Change.

Held on an annual basis, the event convenes CEOs from the world’s leading retail and consumer goods firms – including Ahold Delhaize, Mondelēz International, PepsiCo, Tesco, Carrefour and others – for high-level discussions on sustainability, digital transformation, human rights, and responsible sourcing.

This year’s Summit will address what it is describing as ‘5 Essential Conversations’ – interconnected issues affecting the retail and consumer goods landscape. These include customer engagement and generating loyalty, driving sustainable growth, leveraging technology, collaborating for impact and ‘transforming retail in a time of disruption’.

‘Multiple challenges’

“We approach this Summit in the midst of multiple challenges for our industry,” commented Wai-Chan Chan, managing director, The Consumer Goods Forum. “It is more important than ever that we bring in leading stakeholders from the industry and beyond to discuss actions and solutions for driving sustainable growth.

“The Global Summit offers a unique platform for FMCG leaders to collaborate and accelerate impact on pressing social, environmental and business issues.”

Among the highlights of this year’s event are an opening keynote from Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, on the importance of the circular economy, which will be followed by a roundtable involving 40 C-suite executives from the consumer goods sector.

The Summit will also see the CGF announce its two new co-chairs, who will set out their manifesto for driving positive change across the industry.

As outgoing co-chair, Mondelēz International’s Dirk Van de Put noted, “The Global Summit is where our industry comes together to confront challenges, spark meaningful discussions, and drive action and collaboration. […] I look forward to seeing how our collaborative efforts continue to shape the future of our industry with the new co-chairs.”
