Packaging

Reducing packaging waste requires organisations to rethink packaging design, materials and product lifecycles while increasing reuse, recycling and the use of recycled content. Packaging waste is also becoming an increasingly important focus of circular economy strategies, resource efficiency and environmental regulation.

SustainabilityOnline provides coverage of the latest packaging waste developments, including waste reduction, sustainable packaging, recycling, reuse and refill systems, packaging design, recycled materials and evolving regulation. We explore how businesses are reducing packaging waste across their operations and supply chains, improving recyclability, adopting circular packaging models and responding to legislation such as the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). We also examine developments in packaging innovation, extended producer responsibility, plastic reduction, resource efficiency and corporate sustainability.

Related topics: packaging waste, packaging, waste reduction, recycling, sustainable packaging, circular economy, reusable packaging, refill systems, recycled content, packaging design, plastic waste, plastic reduction, extended producer responsibility (EPR), resource efficiency, packaging innovation, environment, corporate sustainability and ESG.
