Circular Economy

The circular economy is an economic model that aims to eliminate waste and keep products and materials in use for as long as possible through strategies such as reuse, repair, refurbishment, remanufacturing and recycling. Moving away from the traditional linear “take, make, dispose” model, the circular economy helps reduce resource consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions and improve resource efficiency, making it a cornerstone of corporate sustainability and climate action.

Stay up to date with the latest circular economy developments with SustainabilityOnline, including sustainable packaging, waste reduction, recycling, resource efficiency, eco-design, product innovation and evolving environmental regulation. We explore how organisations are adopting circular business models, reducing material use, improving product lifecycles, increasing recycled content and responding to changing sustainability legislation.

Related topics: circular economy, resource efficiency, waste reduction, recycling, reuse, repair, remanufacturing, refurbishment, sustainable packaging, eco-design, product lifecycle, recycled content, extended producer responsibility (EPR), sustainable manufacturing, sustainable consumption, supply chain resilience, net zero, corporate sustainability and ESG reporting.
