Juventus has said that it has become the first football club in Italy to report in line with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European ESRS standards.
The Turin-based club made the announcement in its latest sustainability report, which was the first to be integrated into its financial statements, ‘achieving unprecedented levels of transparency, depth, and data traceability’, it said in a statement.
Black, White & More
Last December, Juventus unveiled a new ESG strategy, entitled Black, White & More, through which it outlined its ambition to generate a positive impact ‘beyond the pitch’.
It has implemented a four-tier governance model to ensure the effective integration of ESG principles, including a ESG Board Committee, comprising members of its board of directors; an ESG Steering Committee, comprising leadership team members; an ESG Impact Owners platform, featuring representatives of high-impact functions; and the Positive Impact Hub, an internal network of 12 volunteer ambassadors leading ‘bottom-up’ ESG initiatives.
Environmental agenda
Its environmental efforts included the Road to Allianz Stadium pilot project, in collaboration with GTT – Gruppo Torinese Trasporti and Allianz, which offered fans under 30 years of age free public transport tickets, to cut down on transport emissions.
It also uses 100% renewable electricity across all its sites, and has obtained ISO 14001 for environmental management at the Allianz Stadium and Training Centre, and ISO 20121 for sustainable event management.
Elsewhere, Juventus has become the first Italian football club to achieve UNI/PdR 125:2022 gender equality certification from Bureau Veritas Italia – the ‘result of a collective journey involving every department, confirming the integration of sustainability within our governance model’, it said in a statement.
It was also awarded the 2025 Social Scudetto by VITA Magazine and Università Cattolica di Milano for performance in social responsibility.
Juventus added that its sustainability report is a ‘tool of accountability towards all stakeholders and a significant step forward towards ever more rigorous and integrated reporting’. Read more here.
