The Future of Sustainable Fashion Summit, taking place at The Mills Fabrica in London on 24 June, will highlight sustainability challenges facing the fashion industry, including circular economy, supply chain transparency, material innovation, regulation and financing.

Taking place as part of London Climate Action Week, the summit is supported by UCL, and will welcome leading voices from across the fashion, sustainability and policy sectors, opening with a keynote from retail entrepreneur Stuart Trevor on the rise of circular fashion.

What to expect

Representatives from WRAP, Reskinned and The Or Foundation will explore waste and circularity in fashion, while Dr Carolyn Mair, along with representatives from Good On You and Klarna, will examine consumer behaviour and conscious consumption.

Elsewhere, contributors from Modern Synthesis, Colorifix and Fevvers will discuss material innovation, and representatives from the Workers Rights Consortium and Labour Behind the Label will address the topic of workers rights and transparency.

In addition, a panel on policy and legislation will examine how governments and brands are responding to sustainability regulation, with contributors from Green Alliance, Fashion Roundtable, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and University of the Arts London.

The fashion challenge

‘The fashion industry does not need any more bold commitments without follow-through,’ as a press release put it. ‘It needs the space to have honest conversations, ask difficult questions, and connect the people ready to find imperfect solutions to them. This is a gathering of people who work at the sharp end of the industry’s most pressing challenges and have something real to say about them.’

The summit forms part of the wider Earthfest 2026 programme of events, taking place during London Climate Action Week. Read more here.
