Geo Green Power revamps its domestic solar offering to provide increased long-term value for customers

Renewable energy installer Geo Green Power has announced it is consolidating its domestic solar offering into what it believes to be a 'best-in-class' package.

Renewable energy installer Geo Green Power has announced it is consolidating its domestic solar offering into what it believes to be a ‘best-in-class’ package.

The move comes at a time when many UK households are already under pressure from high energy bills, with prices expected to rise further. According to the Geo Green team, homeowners who choose them for a solar installation on their homes will get the best systems available on the market.

As of now, for its domestic solar installs, Geo Green Power will streamline their provision to top-of-the-line solar PV modules from SunPower and inverters and Power Optimizers from SolarEdge.

This combination has been specifically chosen from over 15 years of research and on-the-job experience installing solar on properties across the country.

In addition, Geo Green Power will include a life-time (25-year) workmanship guarantee when customers opt for a service contract. These domestic solar installs are also available with finance options offered through Phoenix Financial Consultants Limited.

Rising energy prices

James Cunningham, Managing Director of Geo Green Power, offered his thoughts on why the company has made this decision, and explained more about the benefits on offer to domestic customers.

“We are now being told that even if the conflict in the Middle East ended tomorrow, energy prices are still going to rise,” he said. “As such, we wanted to make sure that households in the UK really benefit from their solar installation – and the best way to do that is with a top-tier package that includes the best products, warranties and installation.

“To give an example, taking into account current electricity rates, one of our new, eight-panel systems (around 3.56kWp) will save an average household around £550 in the first year alone. However, with electricity costs expected to rise by 13% later this year, this first year saving actually jumps to around £620.

“Similarly, a household with a larger, 20-panel system (8.9kWp) – with typical import and export figures, but a lower own use percentage – would see first year savings increase from £1,560 to £1,760. These aren’t insignificant amounts, especially against this backdrop of uncertainty surrounding our national energy security.”

Safe and reliable

Nick Blampied, Head of Commercial at SolarEdge UK, added that homeowners are increasingly looking for solar solutions that deliver “long-term cost savings and safe, reliable performance”.

As he explained, “Geo Green Power has built a strong reputation for quality installations in the UK, and we’re pleased to see them standardising on SolarEdge technology as part of this enhanced domestic offering.

“Our intelligent inverter and Power Optimizer technology, combined with Geo Green Power’s expertise, will enable customers to benefit from optimised energy production, enhanced safety and reliable performance over the lifetime of their installation.”

Elsewhere, Nick Paget, UK Regional Sales Manager for Geo Green Power’s partnered panel provider, SunPower, said that his company was pleased with his company’s partnership.

“We know Geo Green are well established installers, so we are delighted to partner with them,” he commented. “Our panels are class-leading in the UK market, and paired with Geo Green Power’s high-quality installation, it means anyone opting for our panels through Geo Green, will get the highest quality in product and service.”

The revamped and consolidated domestic solar package also cements Geo Green Power’s position as a premier partner with SunPower and as one of the largest independent SolarEdge installers in the UK. Customers can make enquiries on the new domestic offering now.
