Swedish ESG software and advisory firm Position Green has named Julia Staunig, its current COO, as its next chief executive, effective from 1 October 2026.
Staunig will succeed Position Green co-founder Daniel Gadd in the role, who has led the company for a decade.
As the company noted in a statement, the transition is a ‘long-planned succession’ to ensure business continuity for Position Green’s employees, customers and partners, with Gadd set to remain involved as a senior advisor on areas such as AI, product and technology strategy. He will also join the company’s board at the start of next year.

“Building and leading Position Green over the past ten years has been an extraordinary journey,” Gadd commented. “Julia has been instrumental in driving our transformation as COO and possesses the vision and operational excellence needed to guide Position Green into its next phase of profitable growth. I look forward to supporting her in my advisory and board roles.”
Staunig added that she is “honoured” to step into the role of CEO at such a “pivotal moment” for the Malmö-headquartered business.

Elsewhere, Joachim Nahem, executive chairman and co-founder, thanked Gadd for his “visionary leadership” over the past decade, adding that he believes that Staunig’s “strategic discipline and operational track record make her the ideal leader to drive the business forward”. Read more here.
