EnergyVision raises 2026 EBITDA growth target after 57% revenue increase
Belgian renewable-energy and EV-charging company EnergyVision reported first-half 2026 revenue of €98.1 million, up 57.0% year on year, while underlying EBITDA increased 45.2% to €22.8 million and net profit rose 53.3% to €6.9 million. The company raised its 2026 underlying EBITDA growth target from 30% to 35%. “While most energy suppliers lost market share and margins as a result of the Iran crisis, EnergyVision has been able to fully leverage the strength of its business model,” said Maarten Michielssens, CEO.
CivicDataLab and Lloyd’s Register Foundation launch coastal resilience data project
Lloyd’s Register Foundation is funding CivicDataLab to develop an open-source platform integrating fragmented coastal resilience data across Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, in India. The project will combine datasets covering topography, oceanography, weather, socio-economic conditions, public finance and environmental factors, alongside local stakeholder input. AI and machine learning will be used to support risk assessment, infrastructure planning, resource mobilisation and innovative financing for climate adaptation.
Nestlé to invest CHF310m in Brazil nutrition manufacturing
Nestlé will invest CHF310 million in its nutrition and health business in Brazil by 2028, including CHF94 million for a new infant-formula manufacturing facility in Ituiutaba, Minas Gerais. The plant is expected to begin operations in Q2 2028 and create around 100 jobs. Nestlé also plans to upgrade its Araçatuba facility and increase whey production by 15% by 2029.
Eco Wave Power and German AI company develop digital twin for wave energy
Eco Wave Power has begun a first phase of collaboration with Germany-based AI engineering GmbH to develop a physics- and data-driven digital twin for its wave-energy technology. According to reports, the project combines simulation, machine learning and real-world wave and operational data to support system design, monitoring and optimisation. Both companies are members of the NVIDIA Inception programme.
Major manufacturers join German-led hydrogen truck deployment initiative
Volvo Group, Daimler Truck, Toyota, Bosch, Air Liquide, TotalEnergies, TEAL Mobility and MB Energy are working with German policymakers to develop a hydrogen mobility ecosystem for heavy-duty transport by 2030. The initiative includes hydrogen refuelling stations along strategic European corridors, coordinated with hydrogen truck fleets and hydrogen supply. The companies will provide further details at IAA Transportation in Hanover on 15 September.
Grenergy completes $475m sale of 272MW solar and 1.1GWh storage project
Grenergy has completed the sale of its Gabriela project in Chile’s Oasis de Atacama complex to CVC DIF for an enterprise value of $475 million. The operational asset combines 272MW of solar generation with 1,100MWh of battery storage and is backed by a 15-year hybrid power purchase agreement. Construction of the project was financed through a $324 million green loan from a consortium of international banks.
Holcim invests CHF40m in Czech low-carbon cement production
Holcim has launched a new calcined-clay production line at Cížkovice in the Czech Republic following a CHF40 million investment, according to reports. The technology partially replaces clinker in cement production with calcined clay and is expected to reduce the carbon footprint of the cement produced by around 30%.
Romania’s battery storage capacity passes 2.3GWh
Romania’s installed battery storage capacity reached 1,094MW and 2,310MWh as of 1 September, according to data from transmission system operator Transelectrica. According to reports, the moth of August alone saw around 100MW of power capacity and 335MWh of storage capacity added, including the 160MWh Glodeni 3 facility.
