ADB launches fund for resilient agribusiness management in Mongolia

The Asian Development Bank has launched the Green Inclusive Regional Agribusiness Fund to expand financing for herders, cooperatives, small businesses and agribusinesses in Mongolia. The fund will support climate-resilient agriculture, sustainable rangeland management and value-chain development, with financing intended to improve productivity, market access and resilience while addressing land degradation and desertification

Australia publishes voluntary guidance for corporate climate transition planning

The Australian Government has published voluntary guidance for organisations planning for the economic and operational effects of the net-zero transition and climate change. The guidance covers transition planning across an organisation’s operations and value chain, including climate-related risks and opportunities, and builds on the Transition Plan Taskforce Transition Planning Cycle. It forms part of Priority 3 of Australia’s Sustainable Finance Roadmap.

Edisun Power acquires SMARTENERGY operations for almost CHF440m

Edisun Power Europe has agreed to acquire the business operations of SMARTENERGY Group in a transaction involving a vendor loan of just under CHF440 million. Following the transaction, Edisun plans to focus on renewable energy for data centres, synthetic aviation fuels and other Power-to-X applications, and photovoltaic and wind projects combined with energy storage. The agreement was signed on 23 August.

M.P. Evans publishes 2025 sustainability report

UK-listed palm-oil producer M.P. Evans has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, covering its Indonesian operations. The report includes carbon reporting aligned with TCFD and details progress towards the group’s net-zero ambitions. The company says it is producing more certified sustainable palm oil, reducing carbon emissions and working with smallholders and local communities across plantations and mills in five Indonesian provinces. “At M.P. Evans, we are proud of what we have achieved so far, and this new report demonstrates our ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable operation,” said CEO Matthew Coulson.

Insolation Energy wins 99MW solar contracts in Maharashtra

Indian solar panel manufacturer Insolation Energy’s subsidiary Insolation Green Energy has received awards from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company for nine decentralised ground-mounted solar projects with combined capacity of 99MW AC, or 128.7MW DC, according to reports. The projects are being developed under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 scheme. The reported capital investment is approximately INR425 crore, with 25-year power purchase agreements at a tariff of INR2.90/kWh.

Far Eastern New Century expands sustainable finance and circular-economy activity

Taiwanese conglomerate Far Eastern New Century has announced that its 2025 sustainability reporting covers 51 sustainable financial products, with more than NT$90.2 billion raised and allocated to sustainability projects by the end of 2025. Its circular-economy operations include rPET production, with the company reporting that recycled PET reduces greenhouse-gas emissions by 61% and represents estimated annual emissions savings of 990,000 tonnes of CO₂e.
