Times Higher Education (THE) has announced details of the 2025 Global Sustainable Development Congress, which is set to take place from 16 to 19 June in Istanbul, co-hosted with Türkiye’s Council of Higher Education.

Over the four days of the event, more than 400 speakers, including higher education leaders, inspirational change-makers and business chiefs will share their insights on sustainable development across six core tracks: Cities and Communities; Digital Innovation; Education, Gender and Inequality; Energy and Industry; Food, Land, Water and Oceans; and Health and Well-being.

Some 5,000 leaders from higher education, government, industry, and civil society are set to attend the Congress.

Other events to take place during the Congress include the Global Sustainability Leaders’ Summit, which will address the most pressing challenges related to progressing the SDGs; THE’s Data Labs, which empower sustainability in higher education; the International Green Skills Summit; and the Inside Business Education Showcase, which will explore the role of education in shaping the next generation of leaders.

In addition, the 2025 edition of the THE Impact Rankings, a global ranking of universities’ social and economic impact framed around the SDGs, will be revealed at the event.
