The World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) has said that its 2026 Partnership Meeting will take place on 17–18 February at Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam, coinciding with Amsterdam Cocoa Week.

The event, which will bring together leading industry representatives, policymakers, researchers, and farmer groups to address key challenges in the cocoa sector, will feature the theme Securing Cocoa’s Future in a Changing World.

Among the topics that are set to be discussed at the event are the mounting pressures facing the cocoa industry from climate disruption, evolving regulation, supply chain instability and rising consumer expectations, as well as highlighting practical solutions and collaboration opportunities to strengthen the sector’s resilience.

‘Fresh thinking’

“This is not business as usual,” commented Chris Vincent, president of the World Cocoa Foundation. “Cocoa’s future depends on fresh thinking, faster action and stronger partnerships. The Partnership Meeting is where leaders come together to move from talk to tangible change.”

Over the two days, a series of topical discussions will take place – ‘Cocoa Resilience at Risk’ will explore efforts to combat cocoa-related diseases such as swollen shoot and frosty pod, while ‘State of Regulation’ will examine how companies can adapt to new sustainability requirements in Europe and beyond, supported by WCF tools and standards.

Elsewhere, ‘Cocoa at the Crossroads’ will feature senior officials from Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana discussing the future of origin-country leadership, while ‘Shaping Tomorrow’s Cocoa’ session will highlight perspectives from emerging producers from Brazil, Ecuador, Nigeria, Cameroon and Indonesia.

Speaker details are set to be announced in due course.

Cocoa TechXchange

The event will also see the return of the Cocoa TechXchange, an interactive space dedicated to innovation and technology in cocoa production, connecting industry leaders, tech developers and farmer-focused organisations.

The 2026 meeting also sees the continuation of WCF’s collaboration with CHOCOA as part of Amsterdam Cocoa Week.

The World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) represents more than 80% of the global cocoa sector, including farmer cooperatives, processors, manufacturers, traders and supply chain companies. Read more here.
