Solar

Solar energy harnesses the sun’s radiation to generate electricity or heat using technologies such as solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and solar thermal systems. As one of the world’s fastest-growing renewable energy sources, solar power is helping businesses and governments reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy security and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy. Falling technology costs, improved efficiency and growing investment have made solar energy a key pillar of global decarbonisation efforts.

SustainabilityOnline brings you the latest developments in solar, including solar power generation, photovoltaic technology, energy storage, clean energy investment, corporate renewable energy strategies and evolving policy and regulation. We explore how organisations are increasing solar capacity, improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions and integrating renewable electricity into their operations. We also examine developments in battery storage, grid infrastructure, sustainable finance, industrial decarbonisation and the role of solar energy in achieving net zero ambitions.

Related topics: solar energy, solar power, solar photovoltaic (PV), solar panels, solar thermal energy, renewable energy, clean energy, battery storage, energy transition, decarbonisation, greenhouse gas emissions, renewable electricity, energy efficiency, climate policy, sustainable infrastructure, net zero, corporate sustainability and ESG reporting.
