America Is All In has echoed the recent call by COP30 president-designate André Aranha Corrêa do Lago that 2025 marks a pivotal year for climate action.

Gina McCarthy, managing co-chair of the America Is All In coalition, which has mobilised thousands of U.S. cities, states, tribal nations, businesses, schools, and faith, health, and cultural institutions, said that the COP30 president-designate’s vision will “help us meet this critical moment. I strongly support his commitment to uphold multilateralism.

“I echo his call for world leaders to continue submitting national climate action plans that both reflect the goals of the communities they serve and meet the ambition of the Paris Agreement, which will turn 10 this year.”

Commenting on the importance of subnational engagement in addressing the climate crisis, she added that U.S. institutions are “absolutely critical to strengthening economies, slashing pollution, and protecting the environment.”

‘Laser focused’

America Is All In plans to be ‘laser-focused’ on increasing investment in clean energy and environmental resilience, which, McCarthy added, will ultimately be good for business.

“Through climate action, we’re creating good-paying jobs, more economic opportunities for our communities, and improving our health and energy security,” she said. “We are fully committed to working with our international partners to build a better, more resilient, and prosperous future.”

America Is All In

The America Is All In coalition encompasses 5,000 leaders from various sectors, including CEOs, mayors, governors, tribal leaders, college presidents, and more, and is committed to driving the shift to a clean energy economy, as well as addressing the climate crisis.

The coalition is guided by several co-chairs, including Gina McCarthy, JB Pritzker, Governor of Illinois, and Justin Bibb, Mayor of Cleveland, Ohio, while its Leaders Circle is comprised of ambassadors for climate action, many of whom hail from the corporate world, including Ali Santore, senior vice president at Providence Health; Barry Parkin, chief procurement and sustainability officer at Mars Incorporated; Dr. Robert Bullard, executive director of The Bullard Center for Environmental and Climate Justice; and Lisa Jackson, vice president of environment, policy, and social initiatives at Apple.
