The 2026 Business Post ESG & Sustainable Business Summit is set to take place on 15 April at Croke Park in Dublin, featuring the theme ‘Future-proofing business through sustainable innovation’.

The summit will explore how businesses can navigate accelerating climate impacts, shifting regulations, and rising expectations around biodiversity, resource use, and long‑term resilience, and will bring together business leaders, policymakers and sustainability professionals.

Speaker lineup

Hosted by Philip Boucher Hayes. broadcaster and presenter of RTÉ Radio 1’s Countrywide, speakers set to address the summit include John Sweeney, emeritus professor of geography at Maynooth University and climatologist; Marie C. Donnelly, chairperson of the Climate Change Advisory Council; Niall Conroy, chief economist at the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council; Eimear O’Sullivan, corporate affairs director at Lidl Ireland and Northern Ireland; Gordon Naughton, chief executive of Tactive and a member of the Sustainability Working Group at Chartered Accountants Ireland; Fabiola Schneider of University College Dublin and the ESMA Standing Sustainability Committee; and Caroline Cawley, business programme lead for the Nature Strategy Accelerator at Business for Biodiversity.

Topics set for discussion at the event include decarbonisation, supply-chain transformation, climate adaptation planning and aligning profit with environmental and social objectives, as well as how ESG considerations are impacting competitiveness, particularly for small-to-medium sized enterprises.
