Sustainable Food Awards now open for entries

The 2026 Sustainable Food Awards, organised by Ecovia Intelligence, are now open for entries, recognising the organisations and innovations contributing to the development of a sustainable food industry.

The 2026 Sustainable Food Awards, organised by Ecovia Intelligence, are now open for entries, recognising the organisations and innovations contributing to the development of a sustainable food industry.

The awards feature five categories:

  • New Sustainable Product: recognising new food / beverage products with strong sustainability credentials.
  • Sustainable Ingredient: recognising new ingredients that make a positive sustainability contribution to food and/or beverages.
  • Sustainable Packaging: awarded to new packaging formats that have a lower environmental impact.
  • Sustainability Pioneer: recognising operators undertaking pioneering activities to advance sustainability in the food industry.
  • Sustainability Start-up: new for 2026, this award recognises start-ups with ground-breaking sustainability ingredients, products, or solutions.

How to enter

Entries are open to food and beverage brands, retailers, distributors, ingredient suppliers, packaging companies, non-governmental organisations and related organisations.

The closing date for submissions is 8 May, with the finalists in this year’s competition set to be announced on 26 May.

Winners will be announced at the awards reception on 18 June, taking place alongside the European edition of the Sustainable Foods Summit in Amsterdam on June 18–19. The awards reception will take place at the Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre.

An external judging panel will select gold and silver winners in each award category, with winners benefiting from industry recognition of their sustainability achievements.

Previous winners

Previous recipients of the Sustainable Food Awards in 2025 included FareShare (UK), Cashew Meetly (Sweden), GoUnpackaged (UK), Ingood by Olga LENGOOD (France), Nothing F!SHY AB (Sweden), Starfield Food Technology (China), Traceless Materials GmbH (Germany), and Xela Pack (USA).

The Sustainable Foods Summit was launched in 2009, with editions now taking place in North & Latin America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific. This year, Ecovia Intelligence marks 25 years of activity in sustainable development across the food, cosmetics and related sectors.
