Renewables

Renewable energy is generated from naturally replenishing sources such as solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal energy and sustainable biomass. Unlike fossil fuels, renewable energy produces significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions and plays a central role in the transition to a low-carbon economy. As governments and businesses work towards net zero targets, investment in renewable energy has become a key driver of decarbonisation, energy security and long-term corporate sustainability.

SustainabilityOnline reports on the latest developments in renewable energy, including solar power, wind energy, battery storage, clean energy investment, energy transition and climate policy. We explore how organisations are increasing renewable electricity use, investing in low-carbon technologies, improving energy efficiency and responding to changing sustainability regulations. We also examine developments in corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs), grid infrastructure, sustainable transport, industrial decarbonisation and the role of renewable energy in achieving net zero ambitions.

Related topics: renewable energy, solar energy, wind energy, hydropower, geothermal energy, biomass, clean energy, energy transition, decarbonisation, net zero, battery storage, energy efficiency, power purchase agreements (PPAs), climate policy, greenhouse gas emissions, sustainable infrastructure, corporate sustainability and ESG reporting.
